Greetings and thank you for visiting. Please, if you happen to be reading, and can offer me some advice, do. Briefly my gaming history. As a younger fellow, I played some nintendo and sega. In those early days, super mario bros and zelda (the original) stuck out as fun games to play. I later moved on to some PC and Mac games. Oids on the Mac was one I liked. And Baldur's Gate and sequel as well. I still dip back to the Age of Empires game from time to time, and it has not lost its appeal to me. Eventually, I started playing Everquest and really fell in love with the game. For the most part, my social skills were never that good in the game, and I enjoyed the solo game. That changed with the Lost Dungeons of Norath expansion. At that point, I picked up my cleric "Keefus" and kept hitting dungeons. As a cleric, it was easy to find a group. And the missions lasted about an hour and a half at most. Which meant if I had a good group, we could try again as soon as we get done, and if we find a bad group, well I could call it an early night. I did end up later guilding up with some very nice, and for the gaming world, serious players. I did make it to the elemental planes, though I never got to see Time. After that, I played EQ2 for about a month or two when it initially came out. There was no solo play after a certain level, and tradeskills were a major chore. I switched to WoW. I liked leveling characters, but absolutely hated end game content. When we started raiding, and using ventrillo my time was nearing an end. I was never willing to give up listening to music while I play to instead communicate vocally with teammates.
I'm back on EQ1 now, at least for now, and plan on journaling or blogging my experience. This time round, my initial thoughts are to play a class I never have. First one up, a wizzard. A froggie lizzy on Storm or Strom whichever it is. I've gotten up to level 10 in the newbie zone. Though I honestly have very little clothing or gear. I do have about 25 plat now though, which is a big change from first time round. Money appears a little easier to get now, but that also has an effect on the cost of items. Cost of stuff on this sever, in the bazaar is incredible. I am hoping to find some newbie armor quests to get me dressed at least for now.
